At VSMD, we accept all major insurance carriers. For out of network insurance carriers, please call our office for additional information. Even though we may be out of network for your insurance carrier, we are committed to providing our patients with financial and insurance transparency.
To achieve transparency, we:
> Research your benefits and eligibility prior to the visit
> Communicate deductible, co-insurance, or out of pocket information before finalizing the appointment
> If paying out of pocket, we provide a final invoice and require full payment at the end of the visit
> Submit claims to insurance carriers for deductible and payment accountability
If you have health insurance, there are important steps you should take to understand your coverage and protect yourself from unexpected bills. Some of this information may be available on your insurance card. Your insurance card also includes a customer service number where you can get answers to your specific coverage questions.
Patients without insurance plan and coverage
We accept patients that are not insured or prefer to pay out of pocket for medical expenses. To ensure transparency, we will provide a final invoice at the end of the visit to prevent any surprise billing. We do require full payment at the end of the visit. Under some circumstances, we may agree to a payment plan with first payment at the end of the visit and a payment contract on file.
